[AUDIO LOGO] Hey, DYRs. Dylan here with Alarm Grid. Today we're going to talk about IP or internet monitoring for the IQ panel 4. So the IQ panel 4 you're going to need to have some sort of cellular signal as that is going to be how the system is initially registered with your alarm company and how they're going to connect this to alarm.com. Now, you do also have the option to connect this to Wi-Fi, which is what we're going to review today here. The cool thing about this panel is that when you have it connected to Wi-Fi, it's going to use both the cellular path and the Wi-Fi path to send out alarm signals. And whichever one is quicker, that's what's going to reach alarm.com and reach your monitoring center. So for this, when you want to connect it to Wi-Fi, it can connect to either a 2.4 or a 5 gigahertz network. So if you have a mesh router, it's very good because you don't really have to worry about connecting it to one or the other, either would work for you. OK, so we want to get this connected to our Wi-Fi network because we want that secondary path. So what you'll want to do is go into the top menu there. We're going to go to settings. We are going to go to advanced settings. Enter user code. And for this we're just going to use our master code. We haven't changed ours so we still have it set as the default 1234. OK, so we're in the master code menu. We have our Wi-Fi option right here. If you have this little checkbox here, that's going to say that this is going to search for any networks in the area. We've already connected this. We have another video reviewing that connection process. But we have our connection good. We have full bars. So now when we have this set up with our alarm company, it's going to use both the cellular and the Wi-Fi path to send out those signals. And again, whichever of those signals is quicker is what's going to reach alarm.com first. OK, so that's IP monitoring for the IQ panel 4. Again, that's going to be another route that the system can take to send out alarm signals and to connect with your monitoring company. Again, that cellular portion is technically primary as it's going to be needed to be registered to your company so they can find the system, get that connected with the alarm.com. But if you want that secondary path, which again goes out at the exact same time, you're going to want to connect that to your Wi-Fi network as we showed there. And just, again, 2.4 or 5 gigahertz networks work fine. They'll both connect without issue and get the signal sent out.
