Using a 2GIG GC3 w/o Monitoring

hey di wires I'm George with alarmgrid today we're gonna be going over if we can use the gc3 without monitoring now just like any other panel that we have on our website you can actually use it without monitoring basically if you just want to have it as a standalone system do keep in mind it's only gonna basically act as a local sounder so that means only people that are on-site or within range of the sounder that can actually hear it are going to know that the alarm is going off there's not going to be anyone that's notified remotely the old Central Station no text no one being called it will just be the alarm system going off and I'm gonna demonstrate it in a second here exactly what that would look like right so the gc3 is a 2gig panel you can get it monitored with us if you like it does have a set of your communicator and Wi-Fi built in however you do need to have the cellular communicator installed in the system in order to get a monitored we cannot do it just off of Wi-Fi now if you didn't want to get a monitor and you wanted to use that standalone system you can go ahead and install it we do have kits on our website now come with sensors motions the the panel comes with the transformer and the backup battery already you can add a cellular communicator to it but like I said if you're not getting a monitored with the monitoring company there's really no reason to add the side of your communicator unless eventually you do plan on getting it monitored now the system can go anywhere from businesses to apartments to homes it does have an 85 decibel built-in sounder has a z-wave built-in so you can also control any home automation devices from the actual system itself so if you guys do have light switches locks thermostats or anything like that you can use the 2gig panel and you can actually control the z-wave devices from the actual system now if you were monitored and you had the application you'd be able to just open it on your phone control the device system there but that's only if you're monitored if you're not monitored the system is standalone system everything would be need to be done through the system itself or through a remote keypad that actually allows you to go into z-wave device programming or allowing you to arm and disarm the system obviously like I said since if you don't have the system monitored everything needs to be done at the system so any arming or disarming it needs to be done from the actual panel itself I'm gonna actually show you a quick video of how to do that right now so right now our screen is asleep we're gonna go ahead and tap on it to wake it up you'll see there's an armed way an arm stay arm away an arm stay right here I have a sensor I have it labeled in as a window into the panel so you guys I'm gonna set off an alarm so you guys can see what exactly would happen so let's say I go to armed away I'm gonna enter in my code default installer code for 2gig panels would be one one one one unless you change it gives me my one minute exit delay what I'm gonna go ahead and do set off an alarm so if it gets routed out I apologize in advance I'm gonna remove the window the con the magnet from the window contact causing an alarm this would be the only thing you get if you do not have it monitors so if you're not on site to hear this you won't ever know that your alarm is going off I'm going to disarm it [Music] alarm reported transmitted canceled all right I'm gonna go ahead and clear alarm history because I don't want that and I'm gonna go ahead and close my window back up by putting the magnet right next to the contact system goes back into ready to arm so it's just a brief example of what the alarm system would do if an actual alarm went off you see that the the siren actually began to go off letting us know that there was an intrusion however the only the people that are at the house or within range of that sound would be able to know that something is going on at the house if you want to find out more about our monitoring services feel free to go to our website we actually have a monitoring page and a whole bunch of different plans to choose from if you want to find out more email us at support at alarm good comm you can chat with us on our webpage or you can call the number at the very top of our page make sure you like subscribe to our YouTube channel and enable notifications whenever we upload new content that way you can notified again guys my name was George from alarm grid I'll see you guys next time
