PowerG Sirens

If you have a PowerG compatible system, then you might consider getting one or more PowerG Sirens. These are wireless sirens that communicate at the PowerG frequency of 915 MHz. The sirens work with any Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus and any DSC PowerSeries NEO System. Enrollment is simple, and you can complete the process yourself on these systems. You can also use these sirens with a DSC Iotega, but you will need to have your alarm company complete the programming remotely for this system. This is because the Iotega does not offer local end user programming. But once you get your PowerG Siren enrolled, you should be very impressed with the performance it delivers.

The PowerG Sirens come in many different varieties, and you can find the one best-suited for your needs. There are PowerG Sirens that can produce sounds of up to 110 dB. This is much louder than the standard 85 dB sounder that comes built-in to many alarm control panels. Even on larger properties, everyone in the vicinity should be able to hear a 110 dB sounder. There are also PowerG Sirens that come with built-in strobe lights to provide a visual indication of any alarm. You can even choose between indoor and outdoor models. Outdoor PowerG Sirens are great, as you can alert people in the surrounding areas to alarm events. But if you don't require this functionality, then indoor PowerG Sirens are typically more affordable.

One of these best aspects of PowerG Sirens is their incredible wireless range. You can use these sirens from a very far distance from your alarm panel. This allows for great flexibility in choosing a location for your siren. As PowerG devices, these sirens can work from up to 2 km away in open air environments when paired with certain alarm systems. This is great if you need to have your siren on the other side of the property, away from the alarm panel. The long range can also be helpful if you want to use your PowerG Siren in somewhere like a detached garage, in a barn, or in a second building. You can even add a PowerG Wireless Repeater to effectively double the open air range to a maximum distance of up to 4 km away.

PowerG sirens are also exceptionally secure devices. This is due to their use of 128-bit AES encryption in all of their wireless communication. This makes these sensor virtually impossible for others to hack or takeover wirelessly. They are not prone to techniques like RF jamming, and they will work reliably whenever needed.
