Dear Valued Customer,

We have investigated the low
-battery and red
-light issue impacting First Alert VX1 Video
Doorbells and chimes during installation. We
have determined the root cause is related to the
battery charging scheme in the device’s firmware. To correct the issue, w
e have developed a
firmware update that we will remotely deploy to all installed and connected devices. This new
firmware will optimize battery charging and should avoid any potential future issues.
No user
intervention is required.

We will begin delivering updated product to distributors on September 3.
It will take time to
fully replenish our inventory levels.
Please reach out to your local representative if you have
any immediate requirements.

Moving forward, you can expect that:

The doorbell's packaging will include a recommended installation date to ensure it
can be installed without a battery issue.

•

Any newly installed doorbells will automatically receive
the firmware update
following installation when connected to WiFi.
