Are the Honeywell Aurora Motions Detectors Pet Immune?
The Honeywell Aurora motion detector has three sensitivity settings: Intermediate, Standard, or Harsh. When set to standard, the motion detector automatically initiates pet immunity up to 40 pounds. The motion should be mounted between 6.5 and 9 feet high with an approximate detectable range of 35 feet x 40 feet. The 90 degree pattern is ideally corner mounted. Terminals 1 and 2 connect to the Aux power terminals on your Honeywell alarm system. Terminals 3 and 4 are data connections and should be connected to any zone loop.
The most common false alarms are triggered by pets traveling up or down stairs or climbing furniture within 6 feet of the motion detector. Position the motion detector so these types of situations can not occur.
