Yes, a Honeywell LYNX Touch Security System can send alerts to your phone when an alarm is triggered. This is done through the system's Total Connect service. Anyone with a Total Connect account can choose to receive text and/or email alerts when an event occurs on their security system.

In order to receive these alerts, the user must have an alarm monitoring plan that includes Total Connect access. Additionally, the LYNX Touch system must be connected to the network either through an IP connection or a cellular connection. This is necessary for communicating with the Total Connect service. To use an IP connection, the LYNX Touch system will need to have an L5100 WIFI Card installed. To use a cellular connection, the LYNX Touch will need to have a compatible cellular communicator installed. The user will also need to have an alarm monitoring plan that includes cellular service. Any Gold or Platinum level plan from Alarm Grid includes cellular monitoring.

Once the user has their LYNX Touch System set up with Total Connect, they can choose to receive text and email alerts regarding their system. The user can then choose to enable or disable these notifications at any time. With these notifications enabled, the user will receive alerts regarding any system arming or disarming events. They will also receive alerts for any faulted zones that occur on their system.

Total Connect also provides more capabilities than just receiving system alerts. A user can also use the Total Connect service to arm or disarm their system, check sensor status and control Z-Wave home automation devices.
