Can I change the Contrast on a Lyric security system?
The Honeywell Lyric Security System is an alarm control panel with a 7 inch, LED-backlit capacitive touchscreen interface with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and support for millions of colors.
Traditionally, CRT displays had adjustments for Contrast and Brightness, though these names were somewhat misleading. Some LCD displays have controls labeled Brightness and Contrast, but these controls have different functions than the similarly named controls of a CRT display. In an LCD, Brightness control typically alters the backlight luminance, thereby effecting control over what, in a CRT, would be adjusted by CONTRAST. Since the Lyric is an LCD display, it has only a Brightness adjustment, which also adjusts Contrast.
From the Home screen, you can click on Settings, and control Brightness, Volume, Chime and Voice, and you can de-activate the touchscreen for 15 seconds for cleaning. Slide the Brightness setting right to increase Brightness, which will decrease Contrast, or left to decrease Brightness and increase Contrast.Did you find this answer useful?
