Can I Turn Off Arm Confirm On A Qolsys IQ Panel 4 Alarm?

You cannot disable arm confirm on the Qolsys IQ Panel 4, because it is not a feature of the panel. The panel will not emit a loud tone when it arms away from a key fob, or any other method. The IQ Panel 4 will announce, by voice, that it has armed away at the end of the exit delay.

The IQ Panel 4 is a sleek All-in-One (AiO) alarm system from Qolsys. It features a 7" capacitive multi-touch touchscreen and supports 128 zones, and 242 users. The IQ Panel 4 also has a built-in panel camera that can take snapshots during disarming. It's equipped with an 8-core Qualcomm SnapDragon Processor. The IQ Panel 4 is available in many varieties or flavors. These include the 319.5 MHz (Qolsys/GE/Interlogix) flavor, the 345 MHz (Honeywell/2gig) flavor, and the 433 MHz (Legacy DSC) flavor. All three (3) panel flavors that offer legacy RF receivers also support the 915 MHz PowerG frequency sensors. There is also a PowerG-only IQ Panel 4 version that does not offer legacy receiver support. In addition to panel color (available in black or white) and receiver options, each IQ Panel 4 comes with either a Verizon or an AT&T LTE communicator built in.

Arm confirm is a loud tone that comes from the panel to let you know it has been armed. Verifying arming is very important for an alarm user. Many find this feature useful when arming with a key fob. Imagine standing outside your home or place of business, and arming with a key fob. The loud tone would provide confirmation that the system did indeed arm. Qolsys has not included this feature on the IQ Panel 4.

The Qolsys IQ Panel 4 does have built-in voice annunciation. This allows the panel to speak panel status after arming. This occurs when arming with a key fob or on a keypad. This is beneficial when remaining in the home, but typically it can not be heard outside the home, on most installations. This is where text messages and push notifications to your mobile device can provide an arming confirmation. Alarm.com users can have these notifications come directly to their mobile device. If you are an Alarm.com customer and you do not get the notification on your phone, then your account will need the notification setup. Also, if your attempt at arming fails, you can arm the IQ Panel 4 from your phone.
