Yes, you can update the firmware on a Qolsys IQ Panel Alarm System. There is a menu option that is specifically used for updating to a new firmware version. The easiest option is to update using the network. An active WIFI connection is required for the firmware update to go through.

The Qolsys IQ Panel was the first alarm system released by Qolsys. It has since been replaced by the Qolsys IQ Panel 2. As a result, it is unlikely that Qolsys will ever release another firmware version for the original IQ Panel. Fortunately, they still make it possible for users to upgrade the firmware if they have not already done so. Once you upgrade to the final firmware version, it is unlikely that you will ever need to upgrade the system firmware again.
