Can I use a LKP500 wireless keypad to program a Lyric?

Only the main Lyric Controller can be used to program the panel. In fact, when the panel goes into programming, the LKP500 is put into something of an off-line state, and shows “Programming Mode” on the display. Any buttons you press on the LKP500 during this time will be ignored by the panel. Once you exit programming on the Lyric Controller, the LKP500 will return, almost immediately, to normal operation. There are settings you can change in the LKP500, which pertain to operation of the keypad itself. These include Chime, Exit Tone, Entry Tone, Voice Volume, Key Level, Display Level, and Back Light.
