Can I Use Total Connect If I Have GSM Monitoring?

Yes indeed. Total Connect 2.0 is compatible with gsm cell communicators, internet and wifi communicators. AT&T is eliminating all 2G towers, so the gsm cell communicator does need to be 3G or 4G to receive signal.

Honeywell offers a variety of cell communicators compatible with Honeywell alarm systems.

The GSMVLP5-4G cell communicator is compatible with the Lynx Touch Series, L5000, L5100 and the L5200. The Honeywell 4GL is the compatible cell communicator for the Lynx Touch L7000 and also the L5200.

The GSMV4G, GSMX4G, GSMV4G-TC2, GSMX4G-TC2 cell communicators are compatible with Honeywell’s Vista series. The Honeywell Vista GSM4G is the compatible cell communicator for the Vista 21iP panel. Both the GSMV4G-TC2 and GSMX4G-TC2 comes with a prom chip to upgrade an older version Vista 15p or Vista 20P to 9.12 version to be compatible with Total Connect 2.0.

Honeywell also provides the option of dual path communication which includes a gsm cell communicator and internet connection all in one. This option is also compatible with Total Connect 2.0.

Honeywell’s iGSMV4G, iGSMV4G-TC2, iGSMHS4G dual communicators are compatible with Honeywell’s Vista series.

The first path of communication of dual path communication will be the internet followed by the cell.

The Lynx Touch series can also provide dual path communication, however, the modules are separate.
