Can the Honeywell L7000 Control Heat or AC?
Yes, when the Honeywell Lynx Touch L7000 is paired with a L5100-Zwave module and a Zwstat thermostat, users can control heat and AC directly from the L7000 touchscreen or Total Connect 2.0.
The Honeywell Lynx Touch L7000 has a full 7 inch color touchscreen with easy to read icons. Users can install a Honeywell L5100-ZWave module to support home automation. The L5100-Zwave module sits directly inside the panel and is very easy to install.
The Lynx Touch L7000 will support up to 4 Z-Wave enabled thermostats, such as the ZWSTAT, that can be controlled locally through the touchscreen, or remotely via Total Connect 2.0. When scheduling z-wave thermostat control on the Lynx Touch L7000 or Total Connect 2.0, the scheduling feature within the thermostat should not be used.
The Lynx Touch L7000 has allocated low temp, and High temp threshold zones for thermostats. Zone 180 & 181 for thermostat #1, Zone 182 & 183 for thermostat #2, Zone 184 & 185 for thermostat #3 and 186 & 187 for Thermostat #4. These zones are enabled, with report codes, by default, so when setting temperature thresholds within the ZWSTAT, be sure to keep this in mind, and either remove the report code for the zone, or be sure your central station has appropriate instructions on how to handle these zones if they report.
Total Connect 2.0 allows users to control a Honeywell alarm system, home automation and video surveillance from any computer, smartphone and/or iOS device. Users can receive notifications via email and or text message on any alarm signal or event.
Users can program up to 20 scenes and rules on a Lynx Touch L7000, with another 20 scenes available to be programmed through Total Connect 2.0. Scenes are used to control a single or a group of devices and can be manually activated or activated by a rule or scheduled event. Users provide a scene with a name, like “leaving for work” and the thermostat can be scheduled for energy saving mode while at work. A rule is used to control scenes. Setting up scenes can be done directly on the L7000 touchscreen under the Automation icon, or can be configured through Total Connect 2.0.
The Lynx Touch L7000 needs a Honeywell L5100-WIFI module or a Honeywell 3GL, AT&T cellular communicator or a Honeywell CDMA-L57 Verizon cell communicator to connect with Total Connect 2.0
