DBCAM Vs. DBCAM-Trim
Video doorbells are great for knowing when you have guests and who those guests are. A video doorbell integrated with a security system can elevate this to a form of access control, where you can see a guest, unlock the door, disarm the alarm and invite the guest in, all without getting up.
SkyBell offers two different models of video doorbell, both of which can be integrated with either Alarm.com or Total Connect 2.0. The original DBCAM offers 1080P HD video, motion detection and 2-way voice, allowing you to interact with anyone at your door in real time. With motion detection enabled, the DBCAM can alert you that someone is at your door, even if they don't press the doorbell button. You can then instantly observe and listen to them from your smartphone. The DBCAM-Trim is very similar in features to the DBCAM, but it offers a smaller form factor for those who prefer to mount the doorbell on the door trim.
