Does an ADC-V522IR Record Audio?
Yes, an ADC-V522IR records audio. This Alarm.com Security Camera includes a built-in microphone that allows it to capture audio in addition to video. However, the audio portion of a recording is only available when the footage is saved through a specific medium. But the V522IR can do audio.
The ADC-V522IR is an easy to use security camera that can be conveniently rested on a table or desk. It features 1080P HD recording capabilities, an infrared (IR) night vision range of up to 15 feet, a 113 degree viewing angle and image adjustment options. It is designed for indoor use only, and all of the necessary mounting hardware for the camera comes included. However, the built-in microphone and audio capabilities help the camera stand out from the others. The microphone can also be used to initiate recording clips when there is a loud noise in the area, such as an intruder breaking into the building.
However, it is important to remember that audio will only be present in certain types of recordings. This depends on how the recording is captured. This is not the case for video, which is present in every type of recording for the ADC-V522IR Camera. The most important thing to know is whether or not a given recording method will provide audio. For example, 24/7 continuous recording using an SVR will not provide audio. But saving a video clip from the ADC Mobile App or viewing a downloaded clip on a computer will provide audio. And of course, any two-way streaming from the ADC Mobile App or the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 will always include both audio and video. Please note that you will not be able to listen to audio when using a Stream Video Recorder for playback.
