Does Total Connect Work on My Phone?

Total Connect is a remote control application that is designed to be used with Honeywell panels. This application allows access to the arm/disarm feature of the panel as well as live updates regarding panel events. User codes can also be created and edited from Total Connect as well. The application is available to be downloaded onto iOS and Android devices, there is also a dedicated website as well for those who prefer using a computer.
Initial Setup. To set up a Total Connect account you will need to sign up for service with a certified Honeywell dealer. This will incur a monthly charge and some dealers may offer no contract service while others will only bundle Total Connect into a central station monitoring plan. There are specific panel and firmware revision requirements for TC service. After you enroll in service the dealer will create a new account on Honeywell's AlarmNet server and register the compatible AlarmNet communicator. Once the communicator is active the dealer will email you a link to create a password to login into the Total Connect web login and app. We recommend the initial setup it is done on the Total Connect website. The web version offers the ability to configure users, customize your notifications and synchronize user codes and panel data such zone programming.
Once the account has been created and verified, the app should be downloaded onto your mobile device. For iOS users, go to the App store. For Android users, go to the Google Play store. The application is free to download but it will require the login provided by your dealer.
Features: Total connect offers many features that can be taken advantage of by the end-user. The application offers the ability to arm and disarm the system remotely, receive live updates from the panel such as system or individual sensor status, and even access and control Z-Wave devices and cameras.
User codes can be created, edited, and deleted from Total Connect. You may also set up live notifications regarding panel activity and chose who receives them. This feature is very useful, especially for a user who is not set up with a central station. The user will be alerted of any alarms or troubles that may occur, which will allow them to respond appropriately.
Honeywell is constantly developing the Total Connect app with new features and third party integrations. For example, now users can integrate control and status of the August Lock and SkyBell DBCAM video doorbell!
Beta: Total Connect offers beta access to android users, as well as users who use TC through a web browser. The beta application and website are not recommended to be used as of yet. The beta application and website might have some bugs, this should be expected until the new Total Connect is out of beta. For now it is recommended to use the original TC app and website, as the end-user will not experience the bugs of the beta application.
