How do I create a Waterflow zone on a Vista-P Panel?
The Vista-15P, Vista-20P and Vista-21iP offer the option of a Configurable Zone type (2 on the Vista-15P, or 4 on the Vista-20P) which can be configured to provide a non-standard response in the event of such incidents, when a standard zone type is not sufficient. Configurable Zone Types allow you to choose the Contact ID reporting code for alarm and/or trouble.
The following settings will create a zone type which will activate a pulsing bell and keypad sound when shorted longer than the period of time specified in *87 Misc. Fault Delay Time, this zone will follow bell timeout. It will activate Keypad Trouble sound if opened, and will send the specified Contact ID report codes for Alarm and Trouble. It is recommended this zone type be used for Hardwired Zones only, so no Wireless option will be shown.
In *87, enter the appropriate digit for the delay desired. A short will have to exist on the zone for longer than the delay time selected here before the zone will go into alarm.
Enter programming and in *182, enter the following 10 digits:
8, 1, 8, 1, 8, 9, 0, 0, #15, 2
In programming location *183, you must enter the Contact ID report code you wish to use with zones programmed as this type (Zone Type 90).
Waterflow - Program *183 as 1, 1, 3, 3, 7, 3
In zone programming, go to the appropriate zone number and program it as Zone Type 90.
Test
NOTE: The Honeywell Vista-15P and Vista-20P are not commercial rated fire panels. This configuration should be used for notification purposes only and should not be considered a life safety zone.
