How Do I Add a Qolsys Image Sensor to the Qolsys IQ Panel 2?
You can add a Qolsys Image Sensor to the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 by putting the system into its wireless enrollment mode and then powering on the image sensor to have it enter its learn mode. The sensor should auto-enroll with the panel. You will then be able to configure its settings.
An image sensor is essentially a motion sensor with a built-in picture camera. The device will produce a still image when motion is detected. The image will be visible from the IQ Panel 2 and from Alarm.com. Please note that you must have a Qolsys IQ Card-IS daughtercard installed and the system must be activated with Alarm.com to use image sensors with the system.
The steps below assume that you have already installed the IQ Card-IS and that the system is already active with ADC. Complete the following steps to add a Qolsys Image Sensor to the Qolsys IQ Panel 2:
1. Access enrollment mode. Start from the main screen of the IQ Panel 2. Press the small grey bar at the top of the screen. Choose Settings > Advanced Settings > Installer Code (default 1111) > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Auto-Learn Sensor. This will put the system in its wireless enrollment mode.
2. Enroll the sensor. Take the image sensor and insert batteries to power it on. The LED light will blink red at first and then begin blinking yellow. At that point, the panel should recognize the sensor so that you can learn it in. Press OK to continue. Then provide a name for the sensor. Press Add New to finish. If you want to adjust the settings for the sensor, you can choose Edit Sensor from the Security Sensors Menu.
3. Confirm ADC enrollment. If the panel is active with Alarm.com, the image sensor should automatically sync with the user's Alarm.com. account. The LED light on the sensor will be solid green once it has successfully paired with Alarm.com.
