How Do I Adjust the Heat Pump Expiration Setting On the ADC-T3000?
You can adjust the Heat Pump Expiration Setting on the ADC-T3000 by asking your alarm monitoring company to adjust the setting. You cannot adjust this setting yourself through the Alarm.com customer website or mobile app. The setting cannot be disabled, and the maximum expiration time is 24 hours.
The Heat Pump Expiration Setting represents the maximum amount of time that the heat pump for the connected system will run to provide the desired heating effect. If the Heat Pump Expiration Setting time period elapses while the heat pump is still running, then the rule will go into effect, and the heat pump will be turned OFF. This will happen even if the minimum setpoint has not been reached. From there, auxiliary heat will be used to reach the setpoint.
There is no way for an end-user to adjust the Heat Pump Expiration Setting on their own. Only the user's monitoring company can configure the setting. Furthermore, the setting cannot be disabled, and it can not be set for a period of longer than 24 hours. If you want to adjust the setting you must contact your monitoring company and ask them to make the change on your behalf. You can do this by completing the following steps:
1. Contact your monitoring company. Reach out to your alarm monitoring company. How you do this will depend on the company you are working with. If you are monitored by Alarm Grid, then the best way to reach us is to email support@alarmgrid.com. Remember that our support hours run from 9am to 8pm ET M-F.
2. Request the change. Once you have made contact with your alarm company, make it clear that you would like to adjust the Heat Pump Expiration Setting on your Alarm.com account. Also provide the desired time that the feature should be set to. Remember, you cannot turn OFF the setting entirely, and it cannot be set longer than 24 hours.
3. Confirm the change. If you are speaking with a live representative, then confirm that they make the change while you are on the phone. If you are sending emails, then make sure that you receive a confirmation, and if you do not, that you follow-up at a later time to verify that the change was applied to your account.
