How Do I Find the Firmware Version On an ADC-T3000?
You can find the Firmware Version on an ADC-T3000 by pressing the Dash (-) button, followed by "About" and then "Version". The device's current Firmware Version will be displayed on the screen. You can use this information to determine if you need to upgrade the device to a newer firmware.
The Alarm.com ADC-T3000 is a Z-Wave Plus thermostat. It is primarily used with alarm systems that support the Alarm.com platform. But you can really use it with almost any Z-Wave or Z-Wave Plus controller. Pairing it with your system will allow you to control the thermostat through an associated smart platform, usually Alarm.com. You can then control it remotely using a web browser or an app on your phone, and you can include it with smart scenes to have the device respond automatically on a schedule or with certain predetermined system events.
Each ADC-T3000 will have a listed Firmware Version within its menus. This identifies the software that the device is running. Alarm.com may periodically release firmware updates to improve upon the existing firmware. This may offer new features, or it may fix known issues and improve device performance. When you update the firmware, a new Firmware Version will be listed for the device. Depending on the Firmware Version your device is currently running, you may be asked to update to a later version. Alarm.com can usually push down firmware updates to the device when it is connected with a Z-Wave network that is connected with the Alarm.com servers. You may need to ask your monitoring company to request the update from Alarm.com.
Please note that the general firmware for the ADC-T3000 may also be referred to as MFW. This refers to the firmware that is currently installed on the ADC-T3000 device.
If you need to check the current Firmware Version for your ADC-T3000, then perform the following steps:
