How Do I Find the Revision Number on My Honeywell L5210?
You can find the Revision Number on your Honeywell L5210 by accessing the System Test Menu inside Master Tools. The Rev. Number will be displayed at the top of the screen. You must provide your panel's Master Code to access this menu. This code is 1234 by default, but it is usually changed.
The Revision Number for a Honeywell LYNX Touch System is important for determining whether or not certain accessories are compatible. For example, certain alarm monitoring communicators may only work if the system is running a high enough firmware version. If you determine that you need to upgrade the firmware for your LYNX Touch Panel, you can do so using the Honeywell LYNXTOUCH-MSD Firmware Updater Tool. If you want to learn how to update the firmware using this tool, please consult this FAQ.
Determining the firmware for an L5210 System is very simple. Complete the following steps to find the firmware version on your L5210 System:
1. Enter the Test Menu. Start from the main screen of your L5210. Choose Security > More > Tools > enter Master Code (default 1234, but usually changed) > Test. You have entered the Test Menu. Remember that the Master Code is usually changed from the default for security purposes. It is usually the code you use to arm and disarm.
2. Note the Revision Number. The Revision Number will be displayed at the top of the screen. You should note this number and save it in a safe place. The picture below shows the Revision Number on an L5210:
3. Return to main menu. Keep pressing the return arrow in the upper-right corner until you are taken back to the main screen. If you ever need to find the system Revision Number again, you can always return to this menu.
