How Do I Get My ADC-V515 Added to My Alarm.com Account Via the Website?
You can get your ADC-V515 added to your Alarm.com account via the website by getting the camera connected to WIFI and then accessing your Alarm.com account through a web browser so that you can provide the camera's MAC Address. The camera's live video is viewable after pairing is complete.
This FAQ assumes that you already have access to an Alarm.com account with video services enabled. If you don't have Alarm.com Video Surveillance included with your Alarm.com account, then contact your monitoring provider to see if the feature can be added. Note that you can also complete your camera's integration with your Alarm.com account via the mobile app instead of the website if you prefer. This FAQ only covers pairing via the website.
Complete the following steps to pair your ADC-V515 Camera with your Alarm.com account using the website:
1. Get camera online. You should start by getting your ADC-V515 Camera online, if you haven't already. You can complete this process using WPS pairing or AP Mode pairing. You will know that your camera is online because its LED light will be solid green. Don't forget that the ADC-V515 only works with 2.4 GHz WIFI, and it cannot be used with 5 GHz WIFI networks.
2. Access ADC via website. Open a compatible web browser, and go to the Alarm.com website. Log into your account using your username and password. If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled on your account, then complete that process as well. Reach out to your monitoring company if you are having trouble logging-in.
3. Access Add Video Device. Once you log in, click Video on the left-hand side. Choose Settings on the top bar. Then select Add Video Device. The following menu will allow you to pair a camera.
4. Complete the integration. If your ADC-V515 Camera is online, then it should appear on the screen, along with its MAC Address and local IP Address. You can name your camera in the corresponding field. Our example shows a camera with the name ALARM GRID. If you see that your camera "Needs Upgrade", then you can click the blue Upgrade & Install button. Please note that the upgrade may take upwards of thirty (30) minutes in some cases. If no upgrade is required, then just press the blue Install button.
If you are having trouble getting the camera to appear, try clicking the Refresh Devices button. You can also try manually entering the camera's unique 12-character MAC Address into the proper field, and pressing Find.
Once you have added the camera and it has completed the install, it will show a Status of Ready. You can then press the blue Live View button to begin viewing the camera's live video steam. This is useful for verifying that the setup was completed successfully.
