How Do I Get My ADC-V723 Added to My Alarm.com Account Via the Website?
You can get your ADC-V723 added to your Alarm.com account via the website by connecting the camera to the network, logging into your Alarm.com account through a browser, and providing the camera's MAC address. You will be able to view the camera's live video feed once pairing is complete.
This FAQ assumes that you have an Alarm.com account with video services enabled. If you do not have video monitoring service for your Alarm.com account, then ask your monitoring provider about adding this feature. Complete the following steps to add your ADC-V723 to your Aalrm.com account using the website:
1. Connect camera to network. You must first connect your ADC-V723 to your local WIFI network. This can be done using WPS pairing, or by using Access Point (AP) Mode pairing. Check this FAQ for WPS pairing, as well as this FAQ for AP Mode pairing. Between these two options, AP Mode pairing is considered more secure. You will know that your camera has been successfully paired with your local WIFI network because its LED light will be solid green.
2. Access Alarm.com website. Open a web browser, and go to the Alarm.com website. Login to your Alarm.com account with the proper username and password. Complete any two-factor authentication (2FA) if necessary. If you don't have two-factor authentication, but are interested in enabling it, this FAQ can show you how. Contact your monitoring provider if you are having trouble accessing your account.
3. Access Add Video Device. After logging into Aalrm.com, choose Video on the left-hand side. Then choose Settings on the upper bar. Then select Add Video Device. This will take you to a menu where you can finish adding the camera.
4. Pair the camera. You should see your ADC-V723 device appear on the screen with its MAC Address and local IP address. You can give the camera a name in the corresponding field. In our example, we named our camera "ALARM GRID". If you see that your camera "Needs Upgrade", then just click the blue "Upgrade & Install" button. Otherwise, just click the "Install" button. Please be aware that a firmware upgrade may take thirty (30) minutes or longer in some cases. If you are having trouble getting your camera to display, then try pressing the grey "Refresh Devices" button.
Alternatively, if you are having trouble getting the camera to show up, then you can try manually entering the 12-character MAC Address for the camera into the corresponding field, and then pressing the "Find" button.
Once the camera has been added, click on the "Live View" button to view its live video feed.
