How Do I Install The Alarm.com ADC-SVR210?
To install the ADC-SVR210 connect its uplink port to the network router and plug in the power cable. Be sure the power outlet is unswitched. Once the SVR is online and showing a solid green status LED add it to the customer's account. Finally, associate compatible cameras with the SVR.
In the Alarm.com ADC-SVR210 box you'll find the stream video recorder with either a 1TB or 2TB hard drive, a power adapter, ethernet cable, and a card with a QR code that links to the online digital installation guide. Be sure the customer account has a service package that supports the ADC-SVR210 and at least one (1) compatible camera.
As you prepare for the installation you'll need:
- The ADC-SVR210

- An available port on the broadband router (Cable, DSL, or Fiber Optic service)

Connect to the network. Using either the included ethernet cable, or a longer cable if required, connect the ADC-SVR210 Uplink/Network port to an available port on the customer's network.
- Connect to power. Attach the included power cable into the ADC-SVR210. Connect the other end to a standard 120 Volt AC power outlet. Be sure the outlet is not controlled by a switch.
- Verify network connectivity. Allow the ADC-SVR210 to boot completely. When the status LED located on the front turns solid green, the ADC-SVR210 is online and ready to be added to the customer's Alarm.com account.
-
Verify your account supports an SVR. Verify yours is a video account and that at least one SVR has been enabled on the account. This is something that can only be verified or changed, if necessary, by your alarm dealer. If you are an Alarm Grid customer, you will need a Platinum Plan (Self or Full).
If you need to upgrade your plan, or verify the proper SVR add-on has been applied to your account, send an email to support@alarmgrid.com. If you're upgrading your plan, we'll need verification such as your false alarm password or the last four (4) digits of the credit or debit card we have on file for billing. Including this in your initial email request will speed up the process. If you already have a video account with us, the SVR is not a feature we would enable automatically, so if you haven't discussed it with us before, we will need to enable the add-on. - Add the SVR to your account. Log into the Alarm.com customer app using your admin credentials. Tap More (≡) > Add Device > Video Camera > SVR210. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Then configure the schedule:- At Record from This Camera click to choose which camera you want to record to this SVR.
- Use the At this frame rate drop-down to choose the desired frame rate for recording. Generally speaking, the higher the frame rate, the smoother the video will appear.
- Use the At this resolution drop-down to choose the desired resolution. Some cameras may not support setting a resolution option. Those cameras record at a fixed resolution rate.
- The At this quality drop-down will allow you to choose video quality. Higher quality recording will take up more hard disk space.
- Use the During this time frame option to select a time frame for this recording rule to be active. You can limit the number of days to record by tapping Advanced Options then tap Limit the number of days to record toggle switch and use the drop-down to set the number of days. This will save space on the local hard drive, but if you reach the drive's capacity before the set number of days are recorded, the ADC-SVR210 will still begin overwriting older video with new recordings.
- Tap Save.
- Tap Save Schedule.
