How Do I Pair My Honeywell HD Camera?
You can pair your Honeywell HD Camera by using the Total Connect 2.0 Mobile App on your Android or iOS device to connect the camera with the network. The simple pairing process involves generating a QR code that the camera scans to associate it with your Total Connect 2.0 account.
The Honeywell HD Cameras were once known as the Lyric HD Cameras. But Honeywell changed the names of these cameras to avoid confusion. The cameras don't actually pair with the Honeywell Lyric Alarm System. Instead, they pair with the user's TC2 account. There are three cameras in the lineup. These are the Honeywell IPCAM-WIC1, the Honeywell IPCAM-WOC1, and the Honeywell IPCAM-WIC2. All three follow the same pairing process.
Please note the pictures we are using from an Android device, and the screens may appear slightly different if using an iOS device instead. If you would like to pair a Honeywell HD Camera with your Total Connect 2.0 account, complete the following steps:
1. Get the phone ready. You must use the TC2 Mobile App on your Android or iOS Phone to complete the pairing process. If you do not have the app, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Also make sure your phone is connected to the same local WIFI network that you are planning to use with the Honeywell HD Camera. Bluetooth should also be enabled on the phone, and there should be no Bluetooth devices currently connected. Meanwhile, you can keep the camera unplugged for the time being.
2. Start adding the camera. Open up the Total Connect 2.0 Mobile App. From the app, choose the Cameras tab. Then press Add Camera (Android) or the Plus (+) icon (iOS) to start adding the new camera.
3. Configure the camera. Select the type of Honeywell HD Camera you are including. You will see options for IPCAM-WIC1, IPCAM-WIC2 and IPCAM-WOC1. Make the appropriate selection. Then provide a name for the camera, and press the Next button.
4. Finish pairing the camera. Now turn your attention to the camera. Plug the device into the wall outlet using the included transformer. Its LED light will start to flash a series of colors. Wait for a few moments, and the LED light will begin blinking only blue. Then press the Next button on your Android or iOS device. The camera will begin to communicate with your Android or iOS device. When prompted, generate a QR code. After the code has appeared on your phone, hold the screen about three to five inches from the camera lens. The camera will scan the code to pair with your Total Connect 2.0 account. It will beep once the pairing is successful. Then follow the steps on your Android or iOS device to pair the camera with the local WIFI network. This will require you to provide the WIFI password. The camera will then finish registering with Total Connect 2.0. Its LED light will remain solid green upon completion. You can then view the camera from your Total Connect 2.0 account.
