How Do I Reset My Qolsys IQ Panel 2 to Factory Defaults?

You can reset your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 to its factory default settings by accessing the panel's dealer settings and conducting a master reset. This will delete all of the panel's programmed sensors, restore all user codes to default and revert any changes made to the panel's settings.

Conducting a master reset of your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 might be useful if you purchased the device used, and you want to delete any changes that the previous owner made to the system. A master reset can also be helpful if you ever forget your panel's installer or master code or if you ever want to remove every programmed sensor from the security panel in one easy process.

Complete the following steps in order to conduct a master reset of your Qolsys IQ Panel 2:

1. Access dealer settings. From the home screen of your Qolsys IQ Panel 2, slide down the small grey bar at the top of the screen. Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > enter the dealer code (the default code is 2222) > Installation > Dealer Settings.

2. Reset the panel. Scroll down and select the option called "Master Reset". The system will ask you if you are sure you want to conduct a master reset. Choose "OK". Your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 should begin to conduct a master reset.

3. Confirm the reset. If successful, your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 will power cycle and reboot with all of its settings reverted to factory default.

After the master reset, any sensors that you or anyone else had previously added to the security system should be fully removed, and all of the panel's user codes should be returned to default. This includes the master, installer and duress user codes.
