How do you add a 2GIG PAD1-345 to the 2GIG GC3?
A PAD1-345 can be added to the 2GIG GC3 through system programming. Up to 4 of these keypads can be enabled per system. By using the installer code to access wireless keypad programming, an end user can learn the keypad into the 2GIG GC3 in much the same way a wireless zone is added.
The PAD1-345 is a battery-powered wireless keypad that is compatible with the 2GIG GC3, with no additional equipment required. The device features a numbered keypad with buttons from 0 to 9, as well as * and # buttons. It also has dedicated buttons for “Stay” and “Away” arming and panic buttons labeled “Fire” and “Police. The keypad itself has no sounder, but it does include an LED light that illuminates when its buttons are pressed.
Complete the following steps to add a 2GIG PAD1-345 keypad to the 2GIG GC3 system:
- Access keypad programming. From the home screen of the panel, press the 2GIG logo in the upper-right > enter the installer code (the default code is 1561) > System Configuration > Keypads. You will now be at keypad programming.
- Program the keypad. Up to 4 PAD1-345 keypads will be supported. Any keypads that have already been configured will show up in bold lettering on the left. Available slots will be shown in light gray. Select an available slot, then press "Edit Keypad". The programming parameters for the keypad will be displayed on the left, with the available options shown on the right. After programming an option, press the down arrow to move to the next parameter within the keypad.
- Confirm the changes. Click “Return to System Configuration” in the top-right corner of the screen, then click the back arrow on the left side of the screen. Click “Save” to confirm the keypad programming changes.
-
Test the device. Test the keypad by entering a user code and then pressing the “Stay” or “Away” button. If successful, the system should arm. To disarm, enter a valid user code. To trigger a fire or police panic, press and hold either panic button for 3 seconds.
The following video offers a brief overview of all programming in the 2GIG GC3 and touches on Keypad Programming.

The serial number for the keypad can be manually entered or learned into the system. We recommended learning the device into the system in order to prevent typos. To learn-in the keypad, click the "Learn" button. Then hold down one of the panic buttons on the keypad until its serial number appears on the screen. If unsuccessful, release the button and try again. Once the serial number is populated, be sure that it is correct, then press "Accept". |
