How Do You Disable "Arm Stay-No Delay" on an IQ Panel 4?

To disable "Arm Stay-No Delay" on an IQ panel 4, you enter 'Advanced Settings' with the Installer's or Dealer's Code (default is 1111 or 2222). Next, go into Installation > Security and Arming. Then either scroll down or search for Stay. Finally, uncheck the box to disable the feature.

The IQ Panel 4 is a sleek All-in-One (AiO) alarm system from Qolsys. It features a 7" touchscreen and has a built-in panel camera that can take snapshots during disarming. It's equipped with an 8-core Qualcomm SnapDragon Processor. The IQ Panel 4 is available in many varieties or flavors. These include the 319.5 Mhz (Qolsys/GE/Interlogix) flavor, the 345 Mhz (Honeywell/2gig) flavor, and the 433 Mhz (Legacy DSC) flavor. All three (3) panel flavors that offer legacy RF receivers also support the 915 MHz PowerG frequency sensors. There is also a PowerG-only IQ Panel 4 version that does not offer legacy receiver support. In addition to panel color (available in black or white) and receiver options, each IQ Panel 4 comes with either a Verizon or an AT&T LTE communicator built in.

An Exit Delay provides the arming user time to leave after arming the panel. This is always required when arming at the panel in the Away Mode. This exit delay is not needed for many who stay in the home after arming the IQ Panel 4 in the Stay Mode. Qolsys, fortunately, offers a feature called "Armed Stay-No Delay." This is for all those who dislike having an Exit Delay when arming Stay. This feature, which is enabled by default, causes the panel to immediately arm in the stay mode.

However, this also means that if someone needs to leave while others stay home, opening a door after arming Stay will cause an immediate alarm. There are other users that actually need an exit delay when arming in the Stay Mode. For these individuals, the feature can be disabled. Then the panel will follow the normal exit delay time, even when arming Stay.

To disable "Armed Stay-No Delay" follow the steps below:

1. Enter Security and Arming. Start from the main screen of the Qolsys IQ Panel 4. Press the small grey bar at the top of the screen. From the drop-down menu choose Settings > Advanced Settings > Enter Installer or Dealer Code (default is 1111/2222) > Installation > Security and Arming.

2. Disable the feature. From this screen, you can either scroll down until you find the setting, or you can select "Search Settings" and enter a keyword to find "Armed Stay-No Delay." A good keyword to use is "stay". Once you locate the proper setting (shown enabled in the image below), touch the checkbox to disable the feature. When disabled, the box will be solid white.

3. Exit and Test. From this screen, you can select the home button at the bottom. This takes you to the arming screen. Then you can arm stay and verify that you now have an exit delay.
