How Loud Is the Siren on the 2GIG GC3 Security System?
The 2GIG GC3 alarm system has a built in Piezo Sounder that will sound when the alarm is triggered at a dm rate of 85.
Unlike the 2GIG Go Control, users have the option to install an exterior siren on the 2GIG GC3. The 2GIG GC 3 panel has 2 solid Bell terminals, terminal 4, Bell positive and terminal 5, Bell negative located on the terminal block. The siren must be solid state only and not an electromechanical bell. Installing a electromechanical bell will cause damage to the output. Bell output is only provided when the a power supply is connected to an AC power source.
The bell output can be programmed for supervision. This means if someone cuts your wire to disconnect the siren so it won’t sound, after a few seconds it will send a trouble report to central station and will display a trouble alert message on your touchscreen.
Users can temporarily disable the sounder for 30 minutes while testing the alarm. To temporarily disable the sounder, press the 2GIG logo on the bottom right corner>Installer Toolbox>enter the 4 digit installer code, default is 1561>press Disable Sounder.
When the 2GIG GC3 is paired with a cell communicator, users can connect to Alarm.com. Alarm.com allows users to control a security system, home automation and video surveillance remotely from any computer, smartphone or ios device. User will receive notifications via email and or text message on any alarm signal or event.
The compatible cell communicators for the 2GIG GC3 are the 2GIG CDMAV-A-GC3 Verizon, 2GIG-3GA-A-GC3, AT&T and 2GIG3GR-A-GC3, Rogers (for Canadian customers).
