How many key fobs can I add to the Honeywell L5100?

The Honeywell Lynx Touch L5100 is a wireless alarm system that can support as many wireless key fobs as there are available wireless zones. The Lynx Touch supports up to 63 wireless zones (zones 2 - 64). Zones 2 - 48 are Supervised/Unsupervised Protection zones. Zones 49 - 64 are designated for RF key fobs ONLY. If zones 49 - 64 are in use, you can not assign additional key fobs to unused zones under 49. Essentially you you are limited to a total of 16 RF key fob zones.

It is important to keep in mind that each button on a key fob is designated to its own wireless zone on the panel. For example, the Honeywell 5834-4 wireless 4 button key fob will take up 4 zones if all 4 buttons are programmed. Each function (i.e. arm away, arm stay, disarm, panic) is mapped to a specific button. There is a great feature that Sterling will show you below that allows you to auto enroll the key fob.
