How Many Wireless Zones Does a VISTA 10P Support?
The Honeywell Vista-10P control panel has 6 hardwired zones and does not support hardwired expansion at all. If more than 6 zones are needed, the Vista-10P supports up to 24 RF zones. 16 protection zones and 8 keyfob zones. The keyfob zones can be used as protection zones, if needed.
When programming wireless zones to the Vista-10P control panel, zones 9 through 24 are used for wireless protection zones and zones 49 through 56 are reserved as keyfob zones, though, as noted above, they can be used as protection zones.
The Honeywell Vista-10P requires either a Honeywell 5800 series wireless receiver or a Honeywell RF keypad to support wireless devices. The Honeywell 5881ENL wireless receiver supports up to 8 wireless zones and the 5881ENM wireless receiver supports a total of 16 wireless zones. The Honeywell 5881ENH wireless receiver supports an unlimited number of zones which means it will support as many wireless zones as the panel that it’s being paired with.
The Honeywell 6150RF keypad is a fixed English keypad that has a built in 5881ENM wireless receiver and transceiver which will support up to 16 wireless devices, plus up to 8 keyfobs programmed locally (theses will not use panel zones).
The Honeywell 6160RF keypad is an alpha keypad that has a built in 5881ENH wireless receiver and transceiver and will support as many wireless zones as the panel to which it is connected .
Only 1 wireless receiver can be used on a Honeywell Vista-10P control panel at a time, and an alpha keypad is required for programming, so keep this in mind when selecting a wireless receiver, the 6160RF would be a good choice. The Vista-10P control panel supports up to a total of 8 keypads, whether alpha or fixed English.
If more than 24 wireless zones are required the Vista-21iP control panel has a built in internet communicator, 8 on board hardwired zones and supports up to 40 hardwired expansion zones or up 56 wireless zones, counting the reserved keyfob zones.*
*Note: The number of available wireless zones will be decreased by the number of hardwired expansion zones used, in other words, if 8 wired expansion zones are used, then the Vista-21iP will now support 32 RF zones, plus the 16 reserved keyfob zones for a total of 48 wireless zones.
