Is The Lynx Plus 3000 Compatible With Total Connect?

The Lynx Plus 3000 control panel needs to have a revision of 20.1 or higher and the alarm communicator needs to have a revision of 2.6.42 or higher to be compatible with Total Connect 2.0. If the Lynx Plus 3000 control panel is a 20.1 version and the communicator 2.6.42 or higher, home automation can also be compatible when paired with the Honeywell 5800ZBRIDGE. The 5800ZBRIDGE allows a user to connect zwave devices such as lights, thermostats, door locks even shades which can be controlled through the Lynx Plus 3000 control panel and when subscribed to Total Connect 2.0 can be controlled remotely from any computer, smartphone or any ios device.

If the Lynx Plus 3000 control panel is not the correct version, The Lynx Plus 3000 control panel can be upgraded to either the Lynx Touch L5200 or the Lynx Touch L7000 control panel. The alarm communicator would need to be upgraded as well to a GSMVLP5-4G cell communicator or AlarmNet ILP5 internet communicator or an L5100Wifi module. A user can install a L5100ZWAVE module for compatibility for home automation.

Both the Lynx Touch L5200 and L7000 control panels are both “flash” upgradeable, which means the panel does not have to be upgraded if Honeywell comes out with a new feature.
