What are DIP switch settings on a Honeywell IS216?
The Honeywell IS216 motion detector has two DIP switches on the circuit board. Switch 1 controls the LED. You should turn SW1 on while walk testing the device, to ensure that the detector is detecting motion in the intended coverage area. You can turn SW1 off for normal operation mode, so the LED does not activate while you are walking around your property. Switch 2 controls the sensitivity of the IS216. When SW2 is on, the motion detector will be in high sensitivity mode, or pulse count one, where motion is picked up within 2-4 steps. When SW2 is off, the IS216 will be in low sensitivity mode, or pulse count two, where the detector will trip within 3-5 steps.
