The 2GIG GC3 has a very modern, sleek look with a 7 inch, color touch screen, that has large and very clear icons for arming away and stay. The stay icon has a picture of person inside a house, emulating someone being home. The away icon has an arrow inside a house pointing to a person outside the house walking away, emulating someone leaving the home.
The 5 day weather forecast and the date and time are also displayed on the touch screen.
The 2GIG GC3 has a built in 85dm siren that will sound once a connected security device is triggered and a signal is sent to the panel.
The 2GIG GC3 also has a built in speaker that will voice describe the zone that is opened and alarming. In addition to voice descriptions, the speaker can also chime when a device is opened.
The 2GIG GC3 supports up to 2 hardwired zones (no hardwired smoke detectors, heat detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, motion detectors and glass breaks may be used because the hardwired loops support contact sensors like a magnetic reed switch and pressure pads) and up to 100 wireless zones.
The 2GIG GC3 supports up to 100 user codes. Included in the 100, is the master code, duress code and installer code.
The 2GIG GC3 has a built in Z-Wave module that supports up to 232 installed Z-Wave and Z-Wave Plus devices. Most manufacturers Z-Wave devices will be compatible with the GC3 panel, as long as it’s a certified Z-Wave device.
The 2GIG GC3 panel comes with a USB port located at the top of the panel so users can receive firmware updates.
The 2GIG GC3 has several compatible cell communicators; Verizon,AT&T, and Rogers. Installing a cell communicator allows the 2GIG GC3 to be compatible with Alarm.com.
Alarm.com provides users the ability to remotely control the alarm panel, home automation and video from any computer, smartphone or ios device. Users will receive notifications via email and or text message on any alarm signal or event.
