Honeywell 7847i alarmnet internet alarm monitoring communicator

The Honeywell 7847i is an internet communicator that allows a Honeywell VISTA System to communicate with the AlarmNet Servers operated by Resideo (formerly Honeywell). By doing this, the user will be able to control their system using Total Connect 2.0. This service can be accessed through a web browser, or it can be used remotely using the Total Connect 2.0 Mobile App. Overall, the service is great for controlling a Honeywell System without actually being on-site.

There are three lights on the Honeywell 7847i in total. These lights are green, yellow and red. Only the yellow light will be illuminate during normal device operation. This light will have a quick periodic blink in most cases. If the green light is solid, then the system is currently not registered with AlarmNet. If the green light is blinking then the system is either downloading information from Compass (a service used by monitoring companies) or in the process of being registered. A solid red LED light means that the system is not connected to the network. A blinking red LED light indicates communication problems.
