What Does a GSMVLP5-4G Communicator Do in an L7000?

Honeywell’s GSMVLP5-4G is the compatible cell communicator for the Lynx Touch L7000. The GSMVLP5-4G is quick and easy to install in the Lynx Touch L7000 by separating the front case from the back, installing the GSMVLP5-4G communicator module in the front case making sure the connector board is properly seated on the receptacle (please refer to installation manual for complete instructions). When the GSMVLP5-4G is installed in the Lynx Touch L7000, it provides wireless communication by transmitting signals to the AlarmNet network, which in turn routes the signals for the delivery of alarm and other messages to the monitoring station. The GSMVLP5-4G can also support voice communication between the control panel and the monitoring station. The GSMVLP5-4G allows uploading and downloading of the Lynx L7000 data via GSM. The GSMVLP5-4G supports Total Connect 2.0 which allow a user to remotely control the Lynx Touch L7000 system from any computer, smartphone or ios device.

Honeywell’s GSMVLP5-4G provides a very safe, fast, effective and secure communication path for the Lynx Touch L7000. A user does not have to worry about losing power, the GSMVLP5-4G will run off of the battery back up.

When using wifi for communication, a user should consider dual communication by installing the GSMVLP5-4G as back up. This way if the users internet goes down for whatever reason, the GSMVLP5-4G will kick in so no communication will ever be lost.
