What is a good L5200 compatible deadbolt lock?
The wireless alarm system known as the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 supports up to 4 z-wave door locks. The L5200 requires the L5100-ZWAVE module in order to function as a z-wave controller. The Yale YRD210 push button and YRD220 touchscreen z-wave deadbolt locks are the best compatible door locks we have come across. Both Yale door locks will integrate with your LYNX Touch and are capable of arming/disarming the alarm system when locking/unlocking the door lock.
Simply program the PINs to match user codes in the panel (beside the master PIN). Then enroll the Yale door lock with the LYNX Touch. The communications are rock solid and our customers have been very pleased with the ease of install and smooth integration of these two devices.
It is rumored that the Kwikset and Schlage z-wave door locks are battery hogs. We can not offer a confirmation to this but we have found that the Yale door locks are relatively good on battery life. Obviously, the better the battery the longer the life of the battery so use the more nicer AA duracell or energizer batteries.
All in all, the Yale door locks are great solution for offering a keyless entry point in your home or business. With the Total Connect 2.0 service that we offer with our no contract monitoring plans, you can be notified via text and/or email and review a log of any open/closes on these units. This serves a great purpose for businesses to keep tabs on employees enter/exiting the premise; as well as homeowners having the peace of mind that their children are home safe.
