2GIG Edge AT&T LTE 3-1 Encrypted Kit

The 2GIG Edge AT&T LTE 3-1 Encrypted Kit has everything you need for alarm monitoring. It comes with a brand-new 2GIG Edge Alarm Panel with AT&T LTE, three (3) 2GIG DW10e Encrypted Door/Window Sensors. one (1) 2GIG PIR1e Encrypted Motion Sensor, and a Honeywell LT-Cable.

Headlining this kit is the 2GIG Edge Alarm Panel with AT&T LTE. This is a modern alarm panel with some truly impressive features. The system is controlled using a seven-inch (7") touchscreen that allows seamless navigation through its straightforward user interface (UI). Whether you're a first time security system operator, or the Edge is the latest of many system you have used, you are sure to be impressed with its ease of use and all its fantastic offerings.

There are one-hundred (100) wireless zones available on the 2GIG Edge System. These can be used with the non-encrypted 2GIG 345 MHz Sensors, the uni-directional (one-way) Honeywell 5800 Sensors, and the encrypted 2GIG eSeries Sensors that were originally designed for the 2GIG GC2e and 2GIG GC3e. At this time, we have not heard any plans from 2GIG and Nortek to release a new sensor lineup of devices exclusively for the Edge System. And unless that happens, the system will remain in the position of only supporting existing sensor lineups that were originally built for other systems.

The sensors included with this kit are encrypted devices from the 2GIG eSeries. As encrypted devices, they offer important protection against various wireless attacks that could render other sensors ineffective. With three (3) 2GIG DW10e Door and Window Contacts and one (1) 2GIG PIR1e Motion Sensor, this 3-1 kit is a very nice starter option for a smaller home or an apartment. Remember, that you can easily expand upon this system later on if you need to. We have also included a Honeywell LT-Cable with this 3-1 system kit so that you can easily provide power from the bundled transformer.

Another great aspect of this system kit is that it has everything you need to get started with alarm monitoring service. This 2GIG Edge Panel has an AT&T LTE Communicator built inside, plus a WIFI card for dual-path connectivity right out of the box. Alarm.com requires that the system is set up with cellular connectivity, so you will need a cellular monitoring plan to get started. Some examples of compatible monitoring plans include the Alarm Grid Gold and Platinum Level Plans (Self or Full). You can also connect the Edge to your local WIFI network so that way it has two (2) communication paths available. With dual-path monitoring enabled, if one communication path is ever down or not working properly, the other one will be there to provide valuable backup and keep the system monitored.

And thanks to the Alarm.com service, you will have no trouble controlling your system remotely through a web browser or a convenient mobile app on your smartphone. Alarm.com allows you to arm and disarm your system, check its current status, control programmed home automation devices, view the live feed for any compatible cameras you have set up, and much more. All you have to do is make sure that the monitoring plan you choose includes access to Alarm.com.

The automation features of the 2GIG Edge are also quite impressive. This system has a built-in Z-Wave Plus V2 Controller, also known as Z-Wave Plus 700-Series. Not only is it backward compatible with virtually all other iterations of Z-Wave, but the system will also unlock the maximum wireless range and extended battery life of Z-Wave 700-Series devices. As of March 2021, there have only been a handful of 700-Series Z-Wave devices that have hit the market, but we expect that to change in the very near future, as developers begin to take full advantage of what the latest and greatest Z-Wave automation technology has to offer.

Other features for the 2GIG Edge include facial recognition disarming, and disarm photos from its front panel camera, optional automatic Bluetooth disarming, four (4) configurable Smart Area Partitions, an internal glass break detector, 2-way voice capabilities, one-touch arming, panel streaming for compatible Alarm.com Cameras, an 85 dB piezo sounder, chime, voice annunciation, two (2) hardwired zones, emergency panic buttons, a wired bell output, two (2) open-collector outputs, and more. The system can receive firmware updates over-the-air (OTA) from Alarm.com, or a USB drive can be used to manually install updates.
