Alarm.com ADC-CSVR2008P
16 Channel Commercial Stream Video Recorder
Description
The Alarm.com ADC-CSVR2008P series of stream video recorders works with Alarm.com Business Video. This particular CSVR has eight (8) PoE ports that can each provide both power and network to a compatible video camera. In addition, it has three (3) USB 3.0 ports, two (2) HDMI output ports, and supports 4K video resolution.
The Alarm.com CSVR lineup is a group of stream video recorders with an impressive list of features. The feature set skews toward business, but these devices can be used in either a commercial or a residential setting. They offer the ADC-CSVR2000P, which also supports up to 16 cameras, but has no built-in PoE ports. Alarm Grid offers the ADC-CSVR2000P-BNDL. This bundle includes one (1) ADC-CSVR2000P and a TP-Link 4-Port PoE switch. This bundle is great for installations where 24-hour recording is desired, but only a few cameras are required.
We also offer the ADC-CSVR20016P, which supports up to 16 cameras, but all 16 of its ports provide PoE power and network capability. This option, of course, is more expensive and would be a better choice for an installation that requires more than eight (8) cameras. With this diverse product lineup, there is a CSVR for nearly any budget and just about every layout scenario.
Though easy to use, the ADC-CSVR2008P series offers a range of features that you might find in any high-end digital video recorder. To Alarm.com, an SVR (Stream Video Recorder) and a CSVR (Commercial Stream Video Recorder) are equivalent to one another. That means that any Alarm.com monitoring plan that supports any SVR, will support this product. For Alarm Grid customers, any Platinum Plan (Self or Full),or our Video Monitoring Plan, can support the ADC-CSVR2008P.
Each Alarm.com ADC-CSVR2008P can support up to two (2) 3.5" HDD, SATA 6Gb/s, @ up to 16TB each, for a possible 32TB of storage space. Currently, the CSVRs from Alarm.com cannot support an SSD (Solid State Drive) but can support a Solid State Hybrid Drive (SSHD).
The ADC-CSVR2008P has one (1) front-facing USB 3.0 port, which allows quick and easy local clip export. Two (2) additional USB 3.0 ports on the back of the unit that can be used for a keyboard and mouse when local viewing is required. The Ethernet connection for the CSVR2008P's connection to the network is an RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbps port. There are eight (8) Camera PoE 802.3af RJ45 10/100 Mbps ports that can provide a total of 120 W of power for up to eight (8) PoE cameras.

Some third-party ONVIF S and VAPIX capable cameras can also be used. You can read about those compatibility requirements here.
This unit is rack mountable. It uses a 1U industrial design. Inside the box, you'll find the ADC-CSVR2008P, an AC power cable, rack-mount ears, an Ethernet cable, and hardware to mount the ears to the CSVR. The hardware to mount the unit to a rack is not included.
