Description
The Honeywell 6149EX is a fixed English slimline portrait style alarm keypad. Despite is sleek design, the 6149EX still has a full telephone keypad and 4 programmable buttons that can be used for panic alarm signals. The 6149EX is almost identical in function to the Honeywell 6150 fixed English keypad, in a smaller, slim and portrait style housing. Because it is fixed English, the 6149EX should only be used for basic programming functions. If a full programming keypad is desired, the 6165EX which has a full alphanumeric display is recommended.
The 6149EX is compatible with most Honeywell hardwired alarm systems, including the VISTA Series. The 6149EX requires a four-wire connection to the control panel, two wires for power, and two for data. The keypad draws 40mA in standby and up to 60mA when in alarm from the auxiliary power circuit. Like all Honeywell hardwired keypads, the 6149EX must be addressed before use. To enter the programming mode of the 6149EX, you must hold down [1] and [3] during the first 60 seconds of power up, and then set the keypad address to a number between 1 and 30. The corresponding address must be activated in the control panel’s programming.
Four programmable buttons can be set for one-touch arming or as panic buttons, to instantly summon assistance in a burglary, fire, or medical emergency. The 6149EX provides you with every feature needed to fully utilize your Honeywell wired security system, but in a smaller housing. The portrait style keypad combines a contemporary look into a slimline design that allows the 6149EX to be mounted in smaller areas that may not be large enough for standard sized keypads. The removable white door covers the illuminated soft-touch keys letting you decide the best visual configuration for your home.
