Honeywell Home PROSIXSIREN

The Honeywell Home PROSIXSIREN is an encrypted wireless siren and strobe that is used with the PROA7PLUS, PROA7PLUSC, PROA7, and PROA7C. This 85 dB siren will spread an alarm sound across a larger area to help ensure that all building occupants are alerted during an emergency event.

In terms of volume, the Honeywell Home PROSIXSIREN is just as loud as the built-in sounder for the PROA7PLUS Panel. By adding this siren, you won't actually increase the alarm volume for your system, but you will spread the sound out across a larger area. This can be very important for ensuring that everyone is properly alerted to a system alarm if you have a larger home or office. Many users will install at least one PROSIXSIREN on each floor of the building to help the alarm sound spread throughout the premises. The siren emits a Temporal 3 sound for fire alarms and Temporal 4 for CO.

But the PROSIXSIREN doesn't just provide audible indication of an alarm. It also provides visual indication using its built-in strobe light. The strobe flashes white during an intrusion alarm, and red and white during a Fire/CO alarm. This can be very helpful for users who are hard of hearing. The PROSIXSIREN also offers chime functionality, so that users will know when zones are faulted on the system. There is also an LED light on the PROSIXSIREN that will illuminate when the arming status of the system is changed. It will light up green for (20) seconds when the system is disarmed and red for (20) seconds when the system is armed.

The PROSIXSIREN relies on four (4) lithium AA batteries for power. These come included with the siren. Expected battery life is roughly five (5) years, though this is reduced through the use of the chime feature. The system will provide indication when the batteries need to be replaced. The siren can communicate with the PROA7PLUS from more than 300 feet away in an open air environment. It offers RF supervision so that the system will display a notification if it cannot detect the PROSIXSIREN after it has been programmed. Tamper detection is also built-in. There is no volume control for the PROSIXSIREN. The siren is 5.5" in diameter and 1.8" thick.

Note: The PROSIXSIREN will not produce Trouble sounds. It will also not produce Entry/Exit sounds.
