Honeywell V21IPUPG

The Honeywell V21iPUPG is a PROM Chip that is used to upgrade an older Honeywell VISTA-21iP (Pre-Version 3) so that it can be used with the Total Connect 2.0 service. The service will allow the user to perform various functions on their system remotely by using the TC2 Mobile App.

Please note that an external communicator will still need to be added so that the system can access Total Connect 2.0. The internal communicator for an older VISTA-21iP cannot be used with Total Connect, even if the system receives a PROM Chip upgrade. Total Connect 2.0 requires a communicator to have a Rev 2.6.42 or higher. This can be an internal or external communicator.

The Honeywell V21iPUPG comes with the latest PROM chip for the 21IP family of panels. It is compatible with both the VISTA-21IP (pre and post Rev 3) and the VISTA-21IPLTE. This will update the revision of the existing panel with some of the feature enhancements of the new revision.

This kit WILL NOT allow the panel to support a different version of the add-on internal cellular communicator. It will not allow a pre-version 3 panel to support the Vista-GSM4G or LTE-21V. To perform the PROM Chip upgrade, first power the system down by unplugging the AC transformer and disconnecting the battery. Then use a chip-puller or a binder clip to safely remove the old PROM Chip. Finally, secure the new one into place, and power the system on.

Note: You will be sent the latest PROM Chip version for a VISTA-21iP System.
