Description
This kit includes the IQ4 Hub 345 MHz Security System with an integrated AT&T LTE Cellular Communicator, three (3) VERSA-2GIG Door/Window Contacts, and one (1) 5800PIR-RES Motion Detector. It is great if you only need to add a few sensors with your new IQ4 Hub.
The IQ4 Hub is modeled after the IQ Panel 4. Qolsys has removed certain hardware features that some users did not need or want to make a more cost-effective system. For the IQ4 Hub, they removed the front-facing camera, 3 of the 4 speakers, 2 of the 3 microphones, and instead of being able to use two (2) wireless frequencies, the IQ4 Hub only supports one. What's left is still a feature-packed panel with industry-leading features. It has an 8-core Qualcomm SnapDragon processor with 16 GB of NAND Flash memory, dual-band WIFI, Bluetooth disarming capabilities, live viewing of Alarm.com cameras with Live Answer for the doorbell cameras, and a Z-Wave Plus controller capable of supporting all the new 800-Series Z-Wave features.
Included in this kit are three (3) small, low-profile door/window sensors by VERSA, and a 5800PIR-RES motion from Resideo, another staple in the industry. The door and window sensors have an LED that comes on during the startup period, and aids in magnet alignment. They take up little space, measuring just a mere 2.2 inches long by 1 inch wide. The motion also has an LED that comes on during its startup period. This blinks upon every motion detection. After the startup period, the LED will stay off. This motion measures 2.4"W by 3.4"H.
The IQ4 Hub still uses Alarm.com services and for Alarm Grid customers, this means at least a Gold Plan (self or full) is required. This makes for a nice starter kit or an add-on when you want to upgrade a panel using existing, Honeywell or 2GIG, 345 MHz sensors.
