Description
This is an encrypted kit that includes the IQ4 Hub 319.5 MHz Security System with an integrated Verizon LTE Cellular Communicator and a dual-band capable WIFI module, three (3) Qolsys IQ DW MINI-S Door/Window Sensors, and one (1) Qolsys IQ Motion-S Encrypted Motion Detector. Good for any location, whether it's the apartment, condo, office, or home.
The Qolsys IQ4 Hub is a feature-packed security panel and automation controller. It has many modern features, such as a 7" Color Touchscreen, support for up to four (4) partitions, the live streaming of Alarm.com video cameras to the panel, including Live Answer for the Alarm.com video doorbells, a Z-Wave Plus controller, and much more.
The IQ4 Hub's internal LTE Cellular and WIFI modules communicate using Alarm.com only. In order to use Alarm.com's services, including delivery of signals, interactive services to arm/disarm, control automation, add/edit users, and receive text/email alerts, you must have a monitoring plan that includes cellular communication. Alarm.com requires cellular to be activated on the IQ4 Hub. Alarm Grid customers should select a Gold (self or full) monitoring plan or higher. For those customers not interested in remote automation or system control, we also offer the Cellular Alarm Monitoring plan. This plan supports traditional central station monitoring via a cellular communicator.
Qolsys considers the IQ4 Hub a mid-tier, cost-effective alternative to the IQ Panel 4. Although the user interface is identical, the IQ4 Hub has certain hardware features removed. Qolsys removed the front-facing camera, three (3) speakers, two (2) microphones, and the ability to support two (2) different wireless sensor frequencies on the same panel.
The IQ4 Hub does have the same processing speed and flash memory as the IQ Panel 4 (see chart below). It supports the same number of zones and users. This IQ4 Hub also supports encrypted sensors in the form of Qolsys' S-Line sensors. Providing that little bit of added security. And if you have existing 319.5 MHz sensors from Interlogix/GE or Qolsys that are not encrypted, it will support those too.
This kit includes three (3) encrypted IQ DW MINI-S door or window sensors and one (1) encrypted Qolsys IQ Motion-S. The MINI-S door or window sensors are a good option when a sensor with a smaller profile is desired. These sensors measure a mere 2.25" high by 1" wide. It also provides a front and a back tamper. The IQ Motion-S is smaller sized as well, measuring 3.4 inches long by 2.4 inches wide. It includes 40 lb pet immunity and a tamper switch that will alert you if someone tries to open the sensor to disable it.
This kit is a great option if you are replacing a panel that uses 319.5 MHz sensors. It doesn't matter if they are encrypted or not, as long as they are 319.5 MHz and compatible with Qolsys or Interlogix/GE receivers. This kit is ideal if you are replacing an outdated Qolsys or Interlogix/GE panel where 319.5 MHz sensors are present. This will prevent you from having to replace all of the existing, working sensors.
