Qolsys QC000E-840

The QC000E-840 is an add-on Zigbee card that is made for the IQ Panel 4. It allows the panel to communicate with Zigbee devices. It adds support for compatible Zigbee automation and Zigbee security RF devices. It is an after-market add-on that must be installed inside the alarm panel.

Zigbee is a shared technology that is used in the security and automation industry. It is similar to Z-Wave but operates on its own unique wireless protocol. Zigbee uses a low-power, low-data mesh network to communicate between devices. It operates at 2.4 GHz, though some Zigbee devices use 784 MHz in China, 868 MHz in Europe, and 915 MHz in the US and Australia. This module allows support for 2.4GHz devices only.

The IQ Panel 4 comes in many variations, which we call flavors, to support different RF wireless technologies. From legacy to long-range encrypted sensors, it provides a multitude of options for the most popular sensor frequencies. The panel flavors include 345 MHz Honeywell or 2GIG compatible, 319.5 MHz Qolsys or Interlogix GE compatible, or 433 MHz legacy DSC compatible. Each of the aforementioned models are offered in either black or white, and also support PowerG. There is also a PowerG-only compatible version that does not offer legacy receiver support and is offered only in white.
