Resideo Z5OUTLET

The Resideo Z5OUTLET is a Z-Wave Plus in-wall outlet that provides smart control for connected devices. The top outlet is always live, while the bottom outlet is for Z-Wave Plus control. By using this device, you can control the device connected to the bottom outlet from virtually anywhere.

It is very easy to get started with the Resideo Z5OUTLET. The device can easily be installed in place of most standard single-gang outlets. Just cut power at the breaker, remove the existing outlet, and install the Z5OUTLET in the same place. Then pair the device with your Z-Wave network. Remember to clear the device before trying to enroll. The smart outlet works great with nearly any Z-Wave controller, but a Z-Wave Plus controller will provide optimal range. A major benefit is that the device will strengthen your mesh network by serving as a repeater.

If you pair the Resideo Z5OUTLET with your Resideo Security System, then you can start using it with Total Connect 2.0. You just need a monitoring plan that include access to the TC2 platform for automation control. There is a super convenient mobile app for TC2 that lets you control your programmed Z-Wave devices from virtually anywhere. You can even set up smart scenes to have the device connected to your Z5OUTLET activate automatically based on a schedule or with certain system events.

The maximum load for both outlets is 15A or 1800W. For the Z-Wave controlled outlet, the maximum load is 960W for incandescent bulbs, a 1/2 HP motor or 1800W (15A) resistive. The device features a manual ON/OFF button for added convenience. The maximum range for the device is up to 150 feet from the Z-Wave controller when you use up to four (4) signal hops through other Z-Wave devices. It uses screw terminals for wire connections in replacing an outlet. The device will require hot, neutral, and ground wires for the installation.
