Yale YRD246

The Yale YRD246 Assure is a Z-Wave deadbolt door lock that is used to replace a standard door lock. Using this smart door lock will integrate the door into a home automation setup. The lock has a touchscreen keypad that can be used to enter codes. It can also be used with an alarm system.

The YRD246 is a very secure deadbolt lock, as it meets Grade 2 Deadbolt Operational and Security Standards. This is very important for ensuring proper protection of your home or business. A user can create up to 250 codes (between four and eight digits) for the Z-Wave lock once it has been paired with a Z-Wave controller. The lock is easy to install in a door, and the enrollment process is made very simple. A voice guidance feature will walk the user through the process of customizing settings after the lock has been installed.

By joining the lock with an alarm system that is set up with Total Connect 2.0 or Alarm.com, a user can operate the lock remotely through that service's mobile app. This will also allow the user to receive device notifications and alerts regarding any activity. Other features include a weather-protection gasket, one-touch locking, backlit numbers, a privacy button and a tamper-resistant battery cover.

Note: This version of the Yale YRD246 comes equipped with a Z-Wave plus module. Yale also offers an Apple HomeKit-compatible version that comes equipped with the iM1 WIFI module.
