Using RRS-MOD with Multiple 4-wire Smoke Zones and the
End of Line Supervision Relays on ‘Plus’ Series Panels
Notes:

Installing multiple 4
-wire smokes zones, tied to one RRS
-MOD, on the ‘P’ Series panels can cause your dialer to run
away sending multiple troubles
when
activated.
o
The theory behind this is that once the device is activated it will reverse polarity to all y
our smokes wired to the
RRS
-MOD.
o
The smokes that did not go into alarm will cause a trouble because the power has reversed and the End of Lin
e
S
upervision Relay will now
pulse open and close causing multiple trouble
s on the zone. This is why the panel
wil
l send multiple Troubles to your Central Station.
o
Bell Supervision MUST be disable
d to prevent activation of the RRS
-MOD when not in alarm condition. S
