A user can pull up the Alarm.com service at any time using a web browser or the designated mobile app. Once a user has accessed Alarm.com, they can arm and disarm their system, check the current status of sensors, control Z-Wave home automation devices, view their security cameras and more.

The Alarm.com Mobile App will work with virtually any iOS device, including an iPad. It can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store. Once a user has accessed the Alarm.com Mobile App on their iPad, they will need to log-in to their Alarm.com account. This requires providing their Alarm.com username (usually their email address) and their password. From there, they will be able to control their IQ Panel 2 System using their iPad.

In order to get started with Alarm.com, a user must have active cellular monitoring service. Since the IQ Panel 2 already includes an integrated cellular communicator, a separate communicator will not need to be added. But the user will still need a cellular monitoring plan.
