Description
Includes the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus Security System with integrated Verizon LTE Cellular Communicator, 3 Versa-GE Door and Window Contacts, and 1 Qolsys IQ Motion Detection Sensor.
The Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus Verizon 3-1 Kit includes everything needed to get started with home security. In the kit, there is a brand-new IQ Panel 2 Plus System with a built-in Verizon LTE communicator, three door and window sensors, a motion detecting sensor, a power cable and a plug-in transformer.
This particular setup is excellent for apartments and smaller homes that only require a few contacts and a centralized motion detector. It is a fantastic security system package for DIY users, as everything can be installed and programmed with no expertise or experience. Once the panel has been set up and the sensors have been programmed, the home will be fully protected against any intrusions.
The three contacts can monitor any entry/exit doors and windows, and they will let the IQ Panel 2 Plus System know if anyone tries to enter the property. Should anyone get past the the door and window contacts, a centralized motion detecting sensor will monitor the space for any interior motion. This simple set up will do a surprisingly effective job of monitoring any smaller property and keeping the occupants safe.
The integrated Verizon LTE cellular module allows the IQ Panel 2 Plus System to receive cellular monitoring service. This is the most reliable type of monitoring available. Cellular service is rarely down or unavailable, and it is not affected by power outages. The IQ Panel 2 Plus also comes with an integrated WIFI card, so a user will already be able to achieve a dual-path communication setup consisting of WIFI and cellular. Their system will receive the ultra-fast speeds of WIFI, along with the dependability of a cellular connection. Please note that an appropriate alarm monitoring plan will be needed for cellular service.
With this type of setup, the IQ Panel 2 Plus will be able to connect with the Alarm.com interactive service. Alarm.com allows users to arm and disarm their system, control Z-Wave smart home devices, check the current status of security sensors and view the live feed of programmed ADC security cameras at any time. All of these actions can be performed from a web browser or remotely using the Alarm.com Mobile App for Android and iOS devices.
Another great aspect of this kit is that it is easily upgradable. The system comes with a built-in Z-Wave controller for supporting Z-Wave home automation devices. These devices include Z-Wave lights, locks, thermostats and more. Z-Wave devices can be integrated into smart scenes to have them activate automatically based on a schedule or with certain system events. Not only can this save users money on their energy bills, but it can also be very cool to show-off to others.
New sensors can be added to the IQ Panel 2 Plus with ease. The system will support any Qolsys Sensor, as well as the legacy Interlogix/GE Sensors that communicate at 319.5 MHz. The Qolsys lineup includes their own Qolsys S-Line Sensors that are protected with 128-bit AES encryption. This protection makes it nearly impossible for others to hack or takeover the sensors, and they are perfect for anyone who wants to keep their system completely protected in the advanced digital age. The system will also support DSC PowerG Sensors that offer extended wireless range and 128-bit AES encryption.
Overall, this is a tremendous setup for anyone who wants to take their initial steps into the world of home security. It's perfect for those who require a basic setup, as well as those who may want to upgrade and expand upon their system later on. You truly can't go wrong with this incredibly versatile kit from Qolsys.
Note: The IQ Panel 2 Plus supports up to 152 total Z-Wave devices for local Z-Wave control. There is also a smaller limit for different types of Z-Wave devices. The individual limit for each Z-Wave device type must be manually increased within Installer/Dealer Level Programming. Please also note that Alarm.com has its own smaller limit of 122 total Z-Wave devices for remote operation and use with smart scenes. More information on Alarm.com Z-Wave limits can be found in this FAQ.
