Can I setup Total Connect on an ADT Safewatch Pro 2000?

The Safewatch Pro 2000 is an ADT branded Honeywell VISTA-20SE. This is an older unit which does not support Total Connect. This is not to be confused with the newer Safewatch Pro 3000 which does support Total Connect. Here are your options with the Safewatch Pro 2000 wired alarm system:

1. Sign up for our no contract Basic Monitoring plan for $15 per month and continue to use the existing the phone line with no additional hardware.

2. Swap in a Honeywell VISTA-21iP alarm panel. We recommend getting the VISTA-21iP-6160KT kit if you do not have an alphanumeric programming keypad already. This kit comes with a Honeywell 6160 alphanumeric keypad that will allow you to access deeper level programming including zone programming. All of the original Safewatch keypads and sensors will work with the new unit.

If you go with option 2 you will be able to choose from any of our no contract monitoring plans. This means you will have access to the Total Connect 2.0 interactive service. This will give you the ability to remotely control the system and setup text and/or email alerts.

3. Purchase and install a TG-1 cellular communicator with your existing system. Then sign up for the Basic Monitoring plan with the cellular communication add-on for $25 per month. This a good option if you do not have phone or internet.
